Why we bake

After my coeliac diagnosis, the thing I missed most was bread. Real, crusty, tear-into-it bread. So Alexander and I set out to bake the gluten-free loaf I actually wanted to eat, the slow way, by hand.

Large lumps, rock hard.

Whilst the taste was lovely and the chance to have an oat free granola was great, I’m afraid the texture was awful. The lumps, too large for one mouthful, really were rock hard and even leaving them to soak in milk wouldn’t break some of them down. After the first bowl full, I took a rolling pin to the pack and smashed the lumps down to a more manageable size, which took some doing. Sorry, not a fan, I don’t think my teeth can cope.

We’re sorry to hear the texture wasn’t right for you. Our granola is baked in clusters, but they certainly shouldn’t be so hard or large that they’re difficult to eat.

We’re glad you enjoyed the flavour and appreciated having an oat-free option, and we’ll pass your feedback about the cluster size and texture to our bakery team. Thank you for taking the time to let us know.

Unbelievable

I was ordering bagels and I thought might aswell try it as needed to get the basket value higher for free delivery. I was shocked at how amazing it is, far better than any known brands. Gluten eating partner also impressed. Will be adding to every bagel order.

Delicious!!

First time trying and this granola is unbelievably good! Nice and simple but still very tasty, will definitely be stocking up! Love that subtle taste of cinnamon!

Returning Customer

I have now tried a few things from MyGFBakery and I’m so positively surprised. Mainly breads and granola (for now). I’m new to the GF world (on top of other dietary restrictions) and I’ve always been a big fan of non-GF sourdough. So far the GF sourdough that I’ve tried from various shops and bakeries (including some pretty expensive ones!) have been so bad that I thought I’ll just have to stay away from bread all together. However, the sourdough from MyGFBakery is great! Even my (very sceptical partner) and (also very sceptical) friends were positively surprised by how good it tasted and how the consistency of it wasn’t dry and boring. But the star of the show is definitely their granola, and bear in mind, this comes from a person who isn’t a big fan of granola in general. It’s so cinnamon-y and sweet. It’s great on its own, as a small snack, or with yogurt, fruits and nuts (or nut butter). By far the best granola I’ve had (whether GF or not GF). I hope there will be more flavours coming, although this one alone is absolutely amazing. I’m now so excited to try more things from here 😍
