Why we started
In 2012 I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease. Before my diagnosis, I suffered from fatigue, bloated stomach, digestion problems, foggy brain and irritability to name a few. For years it seemed normal to feel sluggish and tired. After being diagnosed by my GP and Gastroenterologist, my overwhelming feeling was relief, I was finally able to understand what was wrong with me.

To help adapt to my new gluten free diet, I set out on a mission to find great tasting gluten free food. I tried everything! The one thing I couldn’t find anywhere was delicious, crusty gluten free bread, and it was the thing I missed the most. I knew the problem, and needed to find a solution. Since then, I have teamed up with my good friend (and fellow foodie) Alexander - making it our mission to provide a wide selection of artisan gluten free breads and baking kits. We set out to be the best gluten free bakery. Employing traditional fermentation techniques, we use the finest ancient grains to ensure our sourdough is packed with nutrients and full of flavour.

With a real focus on quality and taste, all of our bread is hand-crafted using responsibly sourced ingredients. We’re extremely proud of what we do here at The Gluten Free Bakery, so we can’t wait for you to try our delicious range.

What and who we supply
We supply the finest gluten free breads and baking kits through our website, directly to our customers all over the UK. So, if you’re looking to have the finest gluten free sourdough bread delivered to your door, or fancy baking your own, you can order directly from our website. We supply one of the biggest ranges of gluten free breads in the UK, from buns to bagels, and loaves to baguettes. We also offer a subscription service, which allows you to choose how regularly you would like your order, and you receive a regular order discount, when subscribing.

We also supply our range for restaurants and shops, so get in touch if you’re interested in stocking our range.
Zero waste in our gluten free bakery
Keeping waste to a minimum has always been a priority for our team. This is why everything is baked to order. Sourdough is prepared specifically for your order, it’s baked fresh, and collected that evening to be delivered the next day for maximum freshness. We’re very proud that this means the food waste from the bakery is practically zero! If we do have a few spare loaves, we’re very pleased to work with amazing charities such as Peckham Foodcycle to ensure no bread goes to waste.
