There's a moment when you're building something: head down, flour on your hands, spreadsheets open at midnight, when you wonder whether the world will ever really see what you're creating.
This February, we got our answer.
We're so proud to share that My Gluten Free Bakery has been selected as one of over 100 female-founded brands featured in Buy Women Built's landmark month long campaign with Whole Foods Market UK. Running throughout March 2026, the activation spans all six Whole Foods UK stores, with a striking window installation at the flagship High Street Kensington store bringing real founder stories to life on one of London's most iconic high streets.
What Is Buy Women Built?
Buy Women Built (BWB) is a consumer movement and retail revolution dedicated to shining a light on brilliant brands built by women. Founded by Sahar Hashemi, the movement helps consumers discover and intentionally support female-founded businesses, because every purchase creates a stronger, fairer economy, and every story inspires the next generation to see what's possible.
With over 2,300 women-built consumer brands, 76 million combined social media followers and £2.8 billion in revenue from women-built businesses, this is a movement with genuine momentum behind it.
Our Story — Gluten Free Food That Doesn't Compromise
Co-founder Rana Righton built this bakery on a simple but powerful belief: gluten free food should be genuinely delicious, not just another cardboard afterthought. For too long, people avoiding gluten have had to settle for food that's safe but joyless, technically edible but nothing to look forward to.
We set out to change that. And being recognised alongside an extraordinary community of female founders, in a retailer we respect so deeply, is a reminder of exactly why it was worth every difficult day.
Visibility Changes Everything
Jade Hoai, Executive Leader of Purchasing at Whole Foods Market, captured the spirit of this campaign perfectly: at Whole Foods, championing the entrepreneurs behind the products customers love is an ongoing commitment, one rooted in building a more diverse and innovative food and wellbeing industry.
Sahar Hashemi put it even more directly: "Visibility changes everything. When customers can see the women behind the brands,; their faces, their stories, their journey, it builds connection and drives meaningful support."
That's something we feel in our bones. The Buy Women Built kitemark isn't just a logo on a shelf. It's a signal to conscious consumers that there's a real founder behind what they're buying. Someone who built something from nothing because they believed it needed to exist.
Find Us In Store at Whole Foods This March
Throughout March 2026, look out for the Buy Women Built kitemark, which marks every female-founded brand taking part in the campaign, it makes it easy to shop with intention.
If you're in London, the window installation at Whole Foods High Street Kensington is worth seeing in person. It's a genuinely moving celebration of the women shaping the future of food and wellness, and it runs until 24th March 2026.
Thank You
For Rana, and for everyone who has been part of this journey, this moment is bigger than a shelf placement or a campaign feature. It belongs to every person who has ever bought from us, recommended us to a friend, sent a kind message, or simply opened one of our emails.
You are part of why we're standing in those windows.
