Introducing our new Matcha Loaf, a limited-edition collaboration with the wonderful team at OMG Tea.
If you haven't come across OMG Tea before, they're a British company with a brilliant story. Founder Katherine started the company after her mum was diagnosed with a serious illness in 2009. Her research led her to discovering the power of antioxidants, particularly the high levels found in green tea. Together, they began drinking matcha and five years later, Katherine launched OMG Tea to share her discovery with others. As UK matcha pioneers, OMGTea offer a range of authentic, Japanese, organic matcha.
It's a company built on care, quality, and purpose: a natural fit for us.
The loaf itself
Soft, gently earthy, and delicately sweet. The matcha adds subtle green-tea notes without overpowering. It's calming, comforting, and quietly indulgent. Think of it as your morning toast, elevated.
Like all our bread, it's completely gluten-free and made with a blend of brown rice flour, sorghum, millet, and our house sourdough starter. No wheat, no nonsense — just good ingredients doing what they do best.
Why matcha?
Beyond the beautiful colour, matcha brings some genuine benefits to the table. It's rich in antioxidants (particularly catechins), contains L-theanine for calm focus, and offers a gentle energy lift without the jitters of coffee. Paired with our slow-fermented sourdough, it's a loaf you can feel good about eating.
The practical bits
All our bread is handmade to order, so please allow 3–4 days for your loaf. We bake and post the same day for next-day delivery, and you can freeze it for up to three months if you'd like to make it last.
But here's the thing — this loaf won't be around forever. It's a limited-edition bake, and once it's gone, it's gone.
